  4. Just an update as it's been awhile since I posted here: DoaW2 is on the final chapter of maps, story, and events. Afterwards the game is complete in that area. Remaining elements still have to be finished such as casting voice overs (which I've been doing here there while the main story is being developed. We're already at about 300 voice recorded lines for the characters!). Bonus content Battle system and the other nitty bits and pieces. The projected finish time for open beta is still aimed at November but that can still changed and I don't want to rush myself in this project. If you have any questions you can contact me here or on our Facebook page.
  5. Chapter VI completed in DoaW 2! Onto Chapter VII!

  6. Game Plot: Since the dawn of time, the power of the Blue Wizards has been known to all folk. Life was peaceful for many years until an evil being known as Darklin came into the realm of the Vale Islands This was known as the "Darkest Hour". Many perished...men...women...and childern. The battle between the powerful Blue Wizards and the force known as Darklin waged on for many, many years. Until finally, the Wizards drove off Darklin and he was banished to another realm. Even though he was defeated, he was not dead. The Wizards sealed him away. The only way he could be brought back is by sacrificing a Wizard. By sacrificing a Wizard, their power could be used to release the powers of darkness. This would break the seal that binds Darklin. Knowing this knowledge, the Wizards decided to shut themselves away from everyone. They decided to live in secret so that no force, good or evil, can know where the descendants of the Wizards lived. Our story begins here, where the Wizards reside in peace and in secret.... Game Features: * A linear turned based RPG spanning over five chapters. * Old school style retro fast pace combat. * Comedy references full of derpness including "4th wall" ones! * Over 50 various monsters to do battle with! * Experience voice overs from over six different characters! * Unlock magical spells as you seek out the four elemental crystals of the Vale Islands. * A 28 page instruction manual in .DOC and .PDF formats included with the game. * A special unlockable sixth chapter which includes several features not from the main adventure! 10. Thanks Lexicon! I'm using a lot more resources and graphics this time around and I'm working thoroughly on each map to it's best detail so unlike original RTP resources, it takes a lot more time. I appericate your interest in beta testing! I will let everyone know when we'll need beta testers. I estimate 10-20 people will be chosen for beta testing. When more screenshots come through, it'll be on the website/FB page.
  11. Thanks, LHMH2015! I'm not 100% sure if I'll be ready for beta testers by this summer as it's around the corner. The estimated game completion is end of winter 2015 / early spring 2016. I will keep you all aprised on status updates and the Facebook page / main site will be updated accordingly. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
  12. Hey there fellow Amarthations, UltimaCJ here with UltimaCJ Productions. I've had some folks asked if I was working on a sequel to the first game of Destiny of a Wizard here at Aveyond. Yes I am working on a sequel and it's still being heavily developed. Those who have played the game, thank you very much and I've hoped you've enjoyed it. The second installment in the series, continues where the first one left off. The game will have many new features including: >New combat system >New graphics from various resources (such as the DS/DS+). >Merc recruitment system were the player can pick up to ten different classes (such as the witch-hunter or the green mage) offering different playability. >New game play Mechanics such as new puzzles and mini games. That weren't implemented in the original. >Expanded save points: While many have voiced their opinion on the saving system, DoaW2 will feature something similar but this will be expanded to were saving will have much more variety to it >New voice overs:The talented Paul Gaglione will return to do voice overs for at least one to two new characters as well as the recurring characters. There will also be several new characters in the sequel that will be voiced over by a few new people The game is still under heavy development and eventually I will be looking for beta testers down the road. To see developmental progress and screen shots please visit our website and Facebook page: http://ultimacj.wix.com/ultimacjproductions https://www.facebook.com/ultimacjproductions If any updates over time are added, they'll be posted to the websites. As always, I welcome feedback and I feel the second installment in the series will be better than ever! Please note if you have yet to play Destiny of a Wizard, the developmental page does contain spoilers about the game's story, so please do not click on our website links unless you want to be spoiled. Questions and comments are welcomed directly through here, or through PM or e-mail. Have a great day! CJ Fantuzzo / UltimaCJ Productions
  13. I'm new to the forums and new developer here as well so I mind as well introduce my self to the Aveyond community Name: CJ (that's me nick name) add some spiffyness and it's UltimaCJ! Likes: Gaming, music video game collecting (and music), website making (really need to get my old site back up), and I can't say no to good a cookie. I still play my old MMO Final Fantasy 11 online here and there (TaruTaru power!) I'm quiet individual but I enjoy a good conversation any day . I'm not a HUGE forum poster but I'll try to chime in as much as I can. Website: http://www.ultimacj.wix.com/ultimacjproductions First game developed with RM: Destiny of a Wizard I always had a dream as a kid wanting to make an RPG game and I always had the first game planned in my head for a long time. I just lacked the tools until I ran into RPG Maker about a year ago on Steam, saw a good sale on it and said "Heck why not and see what happens!" That's about all I can think about at the moment, I better stop before I linger too long and DOOM gets casted on me from FF 13 (ugh). It's nice to meet you all!
  14. A good storyline and decent game play and challenge and such (and the stupid holy crap let's make this hard switch isn't turned on all the time). As for graphics, I love graphics as much as the next person and their always a plus BUT as they say: Graphics don't make a "good game" Usually my expectations in length of an RPG is 40 hours or more but this varies it depends how memorable the experience is in the game.
