  1. So, I played it again through that point and didn't hit the same problem. So it was probably just some random fluke.
  2. No worries, Aisling. I just didn't want people to think this was the official thread to voice your reviews. I was just curious myself.
  3. I would just like to correct something. Shaz was not the one who started this thread. This thread is not an official Amaranth-begun thread. I was just curious to know y'all's opinions on it. Now that I'm done with chapter one I can say I'm not yet entirely sold on the chapter idea. I just wanted to keep playing and see everything through to the end. It's much more satisfying that way, in my opinion. And, yes, I could have waited until July to buy the second part of it and then played both together, but I didn't. So I don't want to hear anything about it from any of you. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
  4. I agree that the chapter thing is far less satisfying than having the entire game. And I never minded having to wait while they created the next Aveyond. It gave me something to look forward to and to look for. I loved in the first two games that I could just play for hours and hours, sometimes taking days to finish the game. It took me like maybe 1/4 of the time to finish this installment as the other two games took me. I'm always disappointed when I pay good money for a game that only gives me a small handful of hours of enjoyment. The Aveyond games were always different. They always provided endless hours of entertainment because I could replay them to my heart's content and be satisfied every time. Now with this one I just don't want to bother because I know it's not going to give me any more satisfaction the second time than it did the first time.
  5. Yeah, sure. I get the one letter at a time but it's like watching molasses at this particular point. I've played more and haven't noticed it happen. If it does happen again, I'll be sure to let you know. (And I think I'll start a new game, see if it happens again in the same place.)
  6. As we're now going about playing chapter 1, I'm curious what your vote is on thumbs up or thumbs down on the chapters?
  7. After I've been through the meeting learning about the orbs, and I've tried to go to the overworld, when I'm talking to the guy in the gambling house who lost his soul, the wording just crawls onto the screen one letter or symbol at a time. Then the characters move slow. It'll go for a time. Slow talking to Gabriel, gets fast for a bit, slows down, etc. But then once I get the password and head topside things seem to be fine. Haven't switched back to Galahad and Tei'jal yet but things have been running okay. Just curious if this would be a fluke or if it's a bug in the game. ~moved to technical questions. abby
  8. There are several reasons I've stopped buying so many games lately. One of them is the fact that most games that come out don't have a high replayability value and are incredibly short so it's a waste of money, really. I am looking forward to the new Aveyond because I know it's a game I'll play time and again and get my $20 worth out of it. Games that only take an hour and a half to two hours to get through but you still pay $20 (can't afford the discounted memberships) for the lesser experience with other games. Just my two cents.
