    Where are you from?

June-I tried kangaroo while I was in Australia over Christmas-it's yummy! They serve kangaroo steaks all the time...as well as crocodile

Definitely an amazing hockey game-broke all the television records here. The streets were insane after the game...I'm in TO and our main street was essentially shut down in the downtown core because of all the people celebrating. I also lost my voice!! haha Great times...an even better game played by both sides. I feel like I'm in Olympic withdrawal now without it being on or talked about all the time! Guess I'll just have to wait for the Summer ones...although World Cup this summer at least gives something else to be excited for in the mean time.

    The Fool's New Car

WOW! Congrats. Did you get yellow too? Smoking.

I'm happy that Finland one...both countries are very deserving but it's nice to see them rebound after a bad game. I think Kipper still has a few years left under hist belt before retirement...at least Calgary sure hopes so! haha Big game for Canada today...if Canada wins the streets downtown are going to be crazy!

    Experimental recipes

Niya-this is straight tiniponi's guide...it's not the ingredients but tells you who to talk to get it triggered: - Love Potion – from Burnaby or his niece, Loretta, in Burnaby’s house in Harburg (which one gives it to you depends on whether or not you reunited Burnaby & Hanna in LoT.

Leelah-you never know, the Finns could pull it out...if Kipper has a good game he's next to impossible to beat! Super stoked for a CAN-USA re-match. Wyst-I know, I don't know what I'm going to do with my evenings when the Olympics are over haha. At least there's World Cup this summer, woohoo!

hahaha Me too Aeternus!!! I didn't know what to cheer loudest for. I'm pretty sure my neighbours hate me for all my yelling during the game...and then during bobsleigh!!!!!! On to the semis. Would LOVE to win and have a re-match with the US on Sun. :)

    Have a problem here! Ideas?

I was actually one of the successful couples to make it through 4 years of long distance as me and my guy went to separate colleges. I can tell you that 1) it's not easy and 2) both people need to be absolutely committed to it or it just won't work. If he doesn't want to commit to a long distance relationship it's pretty impossible to have one. I love whoopdeedo's saying above...it doesn't mean it's the end if it is eventually meant to be!

Curling definitely looks like a funny sport...I mean how many 40 year old Olympians are there? However, I've tried curling a few times and it's super fun...a really strategic game that turns out is not so easy when you're slipping and sliding around on ice. (Okay I slip and slide on ice, clearly the ones on tv have better balance and can use those feet slidey things better than me!) Regarding Canada/US hockey...all I can hope is that it's like what came to pass with the juniors this Christmas...Can beat US in the prelims but then US beat Can in the final. Let's (okay Aeternus and I ) hope it's the opposite here in Vancouver! (Assuming we get past the Russians on Wed...I'm assuming tonight against Germany is a done deal lol) Super big win for Virtue and Moir!! First North Americans to win and youngest coupled ever. I loved that they're best friends with the American couple who came in second...they all looked so genuinely happy for each other.

    lol You're always thinking, shaz.
  11. Hi tini-not sure if it's locked yet but I just read through and just two small comments. Overall this is AMAZING AWESOME (of course!!!) I think the answer to the question below might be a little confusing...does that mean you have to give 500 coins to one beggar to get the whole recipe? What if you give 500 in total but to more than one beggar? Q: Are there any side benefits of donating to the beggars? A: None for the one coin you give them but if you talk to them again, you can give more. When you give more, the beggar will tell you about a recipe for the Apothecary system. S/He will give you more information about the recipe if you give 500 gold coins than if you give 100. You have a typo under the answer to goodie caves (the): The maps which I will post on thezxe forums will have them marked, but very subtly.

Wow, Bilodeau's gold was fantastic...even a little more sweet winning over Begg-Smith . There is nothing like the Olympics to get my blood running...my boyfriend and I were jumping up and down in the middle of our living room throughout his run. Amazing!!!! I can't wait for more to come...

    Amaranth Games on Facebook

Just joining now! Shaz I'm curious, how many users do you have with this site? Very curious to see whether the facebook fan page would keep up to the numbers here!

I totally hear you tbear. I'm not sure what anyone saw on their newscasts, but tsn here actually showed the run down where it occurred and it was pretty horrific. What a tragic accident to occur on the eve of such greatness... I actually have been suitably impressed with how the IOC has been acknowledging and trying to deal with it.

    What would you do?

@Canta I agree with Aeternus on this one. Just take a look at our usage of non-renewable energy sources...that's not something that nature can just heal up quickly. Humans are definitely affecting the balance of nature-the fear is if we go too far and do something that can't be undone.

How do you buy your milk?

I love that this topic has made it onto Amaranthia! I'm from Ontario (apparently the milk bag thing is an eastern Canada thing and not out west) and I never even considered it to be something out of the norm until our papers reported the Youtube ad. Thinking about it I realized that most of the places I've been haven't had bags...of course the 'shelf milk' I got while living in France was a whole other thing altogether lol. Anyhow, to answer the question, I'm obviously a bag girl!

    What would you do?

Circle of Life That plant may actually need that animal to eat it in order to reproduce. There are some plants seeds that actually need to go through an animal's digestive system (ex. cassowaries in Aussie have a certain acid in their stomach that wears off a protective coating in seeds...there's something like 14 rain forest plants that depend on it going through their system in order to be able to activate once delivered back out of their system). I'd say life usually knows what it's doing!

    2010! (Newsletter)

I'm predicting asteroid to the earth...but only after humans will have no doubt moved on to mars and many a planet after that. Hmmm, now what do I have to do to have people believe my predictions 200 years from now...

Do You Eat Chicken Soup When You're Sick?

Moony-you hit on what I was going to say! I do eat chicken noodle soup but ultimately I try to eat a lot of food involving garlic as it's the best food I know to get rid of a cold/flu.

Aveyond: The Lost Orb Soundtrack Sneak Listen!

Wow. Peliad makes me shiver. It definitely has a darkness too it that makes me so excited to get into the game. Amazing job...thank you so much for sharing!

    Anime is a sin?!

Considering that there's a christian protest for harry potter, twilight, and now avatar, somehow I'm not surprised that anime would be thrown into the mix too! Kind of hilarious that those are all deemed bad enough to waste the time of protesting on.
  22. Could someone help me out with where to find the Spook interview? I see Yvette, Mel, Edward, and Lydia on the side of the screen and I really want to catch up on this conversation!

    Post Your Picture!

Moony-what an awesome husky...I assume that's what it is? Wolfie-love your bangs, I've been thinking about a cut just like that!

    Broken Heart

PinkJaguar-I whole-heartedly agree with the above posters that you should tell the truth and suggest Devin move on. When time passes (time heals almost all wounds!) and he does move on, not only will you have helped that process but he will be able to look at things a lot more clearly and appreciate the truth that you gave him and the true friend that you are. By not suggesting he move on, it only helps him to keep hoping for a situation that it really doesn't sound like is going to happen, which just perpetuates a lot more hurt. Life sometimes feels like it sucks, but hey, you can't really learn without ever feeling hurt. The love he is looking for will come-better he be over this hurt when it does come!

Anna-nice to meet you and hopefully you're back for the next little while to get to know you! From your post above I'm loving your sense of humour. emdt-hope you find time among your studies...good luck!
