  1. lol You're always thinking, shaz.
  2. Hi tini-not sure if it's locked yet but I just read through and just two small comments. Overall this is AMAZING AWESOME (of course!!!) I think the answer to the question below might be a little confusing...does that mean you have to give 500 coins to one beggar to get the whole recipe? What if you give 500 in total but to more than one beggar? Q: Are there any side benefits of donating to the beggars? A: None for the one coin you give them but if you talk to them again, you can give more. When you give more, the beggar will tell you about a recipe for the Apothecary system. S/He will give you more information about the recipe if you give 500 gold coins than if you give 100. You have a typo under the answer to goodie caves (the): The maps which I will post on thezxe forums will have them marked, but very subtly.

    Olympics

Wow, Bilodeau's gold was fantastic...even a little more sweet winning over Begg-Smith . There is nothing like the Olympics to get my blood running...my boyfriend and I were jumping up and down in the middle of our living room throughout his run. Amazing!!!! I can't wait for more to come...
  4. Just joining now! Shaz I'm curious, how many users do you have with this site? Very curious to see whether the facebook fan page would keep up to the numbers here!

    Olympics

I totally hear you tbear. I'm not sure what anyone saw on their newscasts, but tsn here actually showed the run down where it occurred and it was pretty horrific. What a tragic accident to occur on the eve of such greatness... I actually have been suitably impressed with how the IOC has been acknowledging and trying to deal with it.

    Olympics

The opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics are tonight and I am very excited. I love the Olympics as it's a time for all countries to meet together, an opportunity to compete, but also to showcase their talent and to an extent, culture. Being Canadian, these Olympics are all around me...on the news, throughout so many topics of conversation, stores, etc. I am curious though, are other people (especially from other countries) into the Olympics? Is anyone else excited for Vancouver 2010?
  7. @Canta I agree with Aeternus on this one. Just take a look at our usage of non-renewable energy sources...that's not something that nature can just heal up quickly. Humans are definitely affecting the balance of nature-the fear is if we go too far and do something that can't be undone.
  8. I love that this topic has made it onto Amaranthia! I'm from Ontario (apparently the milk bag thing is an eastern Canada thing and not out west) and I never even considered it to be something out of the norm until our papers reported the Youtube ad. Thinking about it I realized that most of the places I've been haven't had bags...of course the 'shelf milk' I got while living in France was a whole other thing altogether lol. Anyhow, to answer the question, I'm obviously a bag girl!
  9. Circle of Life That plant may actually need that animal to eat it in order to reproduce. There are some plants seeds that actually need to go through an animal's digestive system (ex. cassowaries in Aussie have a certain acid in their stomach that wears off a protective coating in seeds...there's something like 14 rain forest plants that depend on it going through their system in order to be able to activate once delivered back out of their system). I'd say life usually knows what it's doing!
  10. I'm predicting asteroid to the earth...but only after humans will have no doubt moved on to mars and many a planet after that. Hmmm, now what do I have to do to have people believe my predictions 200 years from now...
  11. Moony-you hit on what I was going to say! I do eat chicken noodle soup but ultimately I try to eat a lot of food involving garlic as it's the best food I know to get rid of a cold/flu.
  12. Wow. Peliad makes me shiver. It definitely has a darkness too it that makes me so excited to get into the game. Amazing job...thank you so much for sharing!

    Anime is a sin?!

Considering that there's a christian protest for harry potter, twilight, and now avatar, somehow I'm not surprised that anime would be thrown into the mix too! Kind of hilarious that those are all deemed bad enough to waste the time of protesting on.
  14. Could someone help me out with where to find the Spook interview? I see Yvette, Mel, Edward, and Lydia on the side of the screen and I really want to catch up on this conversation!
  15. Moony-what an awesome husky...I assume that's what it is? Wolfie-love your bangs, I've been thinking about a cut just like that!
  16. PinkJaguar-I whole-heartedly agree with the above posters that you should tell the truth and suggest Devin move on. When time passes (time heals almost all wounds!) and he does move on, not only will you have helped that process but he will be able to look at things a lot more clearly and appreciate the truth that you gave him and the true friend that you are. By not suggesting he move on, it only helps him to keep hoping for a situation that it really doesn't sound like is going to happen, which just perpetuates a lot more hurt. Life sometimes feels like it sucks, but hey, you can't really learn without ever feeling hurt. The love he is looking for will come-better he be over this hurt when it does come!
  17. Anna-nice to meet you and hopefully you're back for the next little while to get to know you! From your post above I'm loving your sense of humour. emdt-hope you find time among your studies...good luck!
  18. I was between Sherlock and Christmas but voted for Sherlock...the pictures I've seen of the set and costuming look amazing. Plus I think that Robert Downie Jr and Jude Law were excellent casting choices...hopefully it's as well done as it looks!
  19. Rena-you're good! You got a, c, and d. You'll have to try again on g

Once I reboot the computer I'll post a couple of pictures that are my favourite types of puzzles Okay-apologize for the second post in a row-didn't want to screw this up! My good buddy posts puzzles every Monday on his blog (http://hroman.com/) so I have sourced them from him: a) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus01-150x150.jpg[/img] http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus02-150x150.jpg[/img] c) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus03-150x150.jpg[/img] d) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus04-150x150.jpg[/img] e) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus05-150x150.jpg[/img] f) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus06-150x150.jpg[/img] g) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus07-150x150.jpg[/img] h) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus08-150x150.jpg[/img] i) http://i960.photobucket.com/albums/ae90/janelleecmarshall/Rebus09-150x150.jpg[/img]

  23. MC-lol hilarious siggie! I can't wait to see what you do for the enchanters contest!
  24. I found that it became too complicated with having to memorize the spells and there were almost too many different ingredients. I downloaded it from BFG and played for the demo hour...it kept me interested enough to play for the hour but by the end I found I just didn't want to work to memorize the drinks. The graphics were really cute and I liked the storyline...sort of one of those games that I would have liked to have kept playing, but ultimately wasn't adding enough from other time management games where I didn't have to memorize! I think that ultimately I'm a time management player like Shaz...I play that type of game more to tune out and relax. I also get excited about games where I can anticipate and line up what I need to run through in order to get ahead. I also like time management games where I can really give myself an advantage by being rewarded for quick gameplay and being able to buy my own rewards. I should put in that I love the idea of involving a recipe swap over facebook. I think that's a great use of the medium and can really allow people to have a conversation over the game. (as a background I work for a marketing company and we often try and figure out just how to use social media in the right way...and your idea sounds like it hits bang on for the right use within social networking.)
  25. ljpence-cute set! Although my reaction is noooo, don't snow yet...I'm not ready for fall to be over!!
