  1. When I click on download it doesn't do anything. My response from Amazon was that the games were for Windows Vista and Windows XP. I've been able to download other games purchased from other sites, like BFG, and run in compatibility mode and it works ok, but I can't even download the game on the Amazon site. Underneath the game it says "not available".
  2. I originally purchased most of this series from Reflexive. When they stopped selling games, Amazon took over their customers who needed to re-download games. I have a new computer with Windows 8 and Rhen's Quest, Ean's Quest, Lord of Twilight, Gates of Night, The Lost Orb and Darkthorp Prophesies can't be downloaded again because they are for Windows XP and Vista. Amazon suggested I contact Amaranth with this problem. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can retrieve my games and replay this series?
  3. Thanks all. I was trying to go to the wrong place. If you fly your dragon West of the frozen island where Dire Woods is, you can glimpse just a bit of an island that looks like there's a volcano on it. That's where I was trying to fly. I found the correct island and Mysten Far with all your help. Happy Gaming everyone.
  4. I'll go back and try again. I'll let you know. Thanks.
  5. That's the problem. I can't fly over the mountains, just the shallow ones or the shaded ones. I thought maybe there was a path through the higher mountains. I can see a corner of the island, just can't get to it.
  6. I have the dragon. I can fly! Now, how do I get to Mysten Far? I can see it but can't get to it. I have looked all over for a path through the higher mtns. and can't find one. Should I just be able to fly over them? What am I doing wrong or what am I missing?
  7. Ok. I suppose I was assuming that most ppl here had played Millennium 1, 2, and the newly released 3. I guess not. Here's the thing. In Millennium 3, when you start the game, you have some options. One is to have visible or invisible (jump out) monsters. Another is to have your path marked with arrows showing you the direction to go, kind of like in Asguaard, where it's actually a skill called "Pathfinder". Another option is to have 50% faster battles. I think all three options are really great. The ppl at Aldorlea just made a patch for Millennium 1 which allows you to use these same options for M1. Word is they are planning one for M2 also. I was just wondering if the creators of the Aveyond series of games had heard about or seen these options, and if there was any possibility of doing these kinds of patches for any of the Aveyond series. I have all the Aveyond series of games and just love them. I'm patiently waiting till the 21st for the last one to come out. The only complaint I have, in comparison to other similar games, is the speed at which the battles occur. It's very slow compared to some others.
  8. I guess by now everyone is aware of the new build for Millennium 1 and the options in M3 to use directional arrows and 50% faster speed during fights. I have been replaying Ean's Quest, Rhen's Quest, Lord of Twilight, all those, and one thing I noticed was how agonizingly slow the fights are. Wouldn't it be great if Amaranthia's game builders would put out some patches for all the older Aveyond series of games with the option of directional arrows and faster fights? If enough people request it, maybe they'll do it. JMO
  9. Thanks to everyone for your input. I'm really surprised at the number of ppl who prefer using the keyboard and think using the mouse controls is difficult. I haven't been playing pc rpg's for all that long and first started with the mouse conrol. I guess it's just what you're used to, right. Thanks again.
  10. I'd be interested in knowing how many ppl, like me, would rather play an rpg using mouse control rather than the keyboard. Using point and click just seems so much easier. Also, it would be nice if the makers of the games would put that info in the description of the game. Maybe an "(M)" after the title to show whether it offers the "mouse control" option. I don't know how many times I've downloaded an awesome looking game only to find that it only uses keyboard control. What's your take on this?
  11. I have all the Aveyond series of games. There are so many others here that I would really like to play, but a vision field problem prevents me from using the keyboard while playing a game. I have the greatest respect for those of you that build these games and I'm sure I don't have a clue as to what's involved in adding the "mouse" as an option. Keep up the good work(s) and thanks.
  12. Sorry. This was about Ahriman's Prophecy. Thanks for the info. I'll try that.
  13. Why doesn't Ahriman's Prophecy have the option of using the keys or mouse? Also, an option to turn off the music? I think I would enjoy playing this game, but I refuse to even download any game that doesn't offer these options.
  14. Is there any way to turn the music OFF? I think it should be mandatory that all games have that option built in to the game. It's not that it's bad music, it's just annoying to listen to over and over. I've only just begun playing. I've completed 4 Quests. My only complaint is that the "monsters" don't give you any gold and it's really difficult to make enough gold to purchase items.
