Dragon Lord Academy Finals : An RP Quest

Recommended Posts

Veldron frowned, wondering where to put the orb. He decided to cushion it with the cassia leaves and place it at the bottom of his bag. Hopefully these things were really durable as he read in his books. If not...hmm, he wondered if any of his rudimentary shielding spells would work. Deciding not to think of the consequences, he followed Jemar.

"Dragon's... Oh. I think I might now what this does... In which case... Ew." She wrapped it up gingerly in her spare cloak before following the others down the path.

Jemar had traveled about half an hour when his stomach reminded him that it had been a while since they had eaten. He reached for his pouch and turned to ask the others if they wanted anything. His face went white and his mouth went dry. Rearing up behind Duranna was a wyrven...

Duranna hadn't seen the wyvern, only Jemar's face. She turned...

...And froze. She was reaching for an arrow, yet somehow, somehow, she just could not find one. As she felt around her seemingly empty quiver, her eyes widened. The wyvern was rearing.

Tashiki looked behind and saw what he had feared. The two wyverns that he had slashed at were still standing, and were looking at their wounds. They turned and glared their eyes on Tashiki, and this time he knew he was in real trouble. Quickly running down the path, he met yet another pair of wyverns, and the crowd chasing him grew bigger.

Veldron wondered what frightened Jemar and turned around. His eyes opened and he reflexively shot a bolt of magic at the wyvern before he knew what he was doing.

It slammed into the wyvern's snout.

Jemar was flung backward as the wyrven sneezed. Veldrons magic had exploded in a huge mass of flowers with a high pollen count. Jemar scrambled to his feet and got two good sword strikes in while the wyrven was convulsed with sneezing. It lashed wildly at him but missed...

((Are those two brats from Ishtar with us? totally forgot them.))

Veldron shook himself to reattach his brain and quickly thought up a spell. It didn't take a mind reader to know which one since he was rather attached to it.

"Weevil!"

Wham!!

The spell smashed into the wyvern causing it to crash to the ground. Veldron looked at his staff with raised eyebrows. Dammmnn. And he wasn't too fatigue either. Talk about efficiency. Suddenly he felt tired.

...Scratch the efficiency part. Just delay reaction.

Just then the twins wandered up to the group.

"Why did you leave us behind?" they piped.

Then in unison they thrust a box forward,

"Look what we caught in the cave."

They flipped the lid of the box up and out hopped a bright green toad with purple spots. As it hit the ground it emitted a puff of pink smoke.

Jemar held his breath and took off running down the hill.

"Run," he yelled as he scampered away.

"You idiots!" Veldron shouted and forced his limbs to move. He ran after the more fit Brotherhoodian and hoped the wyverns weren't immune to the pink cloud of doom.

As she sprinted after the others, Duranna scowled. Those stupid twins... They were almost as bad as the stupid ninja. She was seriously debating whether she should have just used the Dragon's Dung on them when she tripped on a large rock the others had avoided.

Not a good move when running flat out. Downhill.

Jemar heard a thump and turned to see Duranna rolling toward him uncontrollably. He braced himself to stop her. But then he glanced back up the hill just in time to see the twins turn green and fall to the ground.

He chuckled at the thought of them getting their just rewards, but he hoped Veldron was able to conjure another one of those healing spells...

Veldron had a bit of other things to worry about, like getting away from a pink cloud of fuzzy evilness. Not to mention going downhill in robes was dang hard. The cloth kept flopping around in front making it likely he would start rolling like the current ball of elf-ness. But seeing those two idiots falling down, he cursed loudly and cast a simple 'tentacle' charm and dragged them with the rest of the group. He simply didn't have the current time or energy to do another healing charm so dragging them along was the best plan for now.

Hopefully they didn't die yet. If they did, he wouldn't have the chance to kill them later...painfully.

Jemar had a hard time containing his unholy glee at the site of the twins bouncing down the hill behind Veldron. If they survived, this would be a lesson they would not soon forget. He took off again running after them. He hoped Duranna had recovered from her tumble and was following behind. He turned to look back and ran smack into a Thornabramble bush. He shrieked, curled into a ball and rolled on down the hill coming to a stop with a thump against a tree. Veldron isn't going to get a chance to kill them...as soon as I get these thorns out.....they better not be dead... yet.

Duranna shook her head. She was seeing stars. What the...? Why aren't I rolling anymore? She looked up to see that she had hit, of all things, and outcrop of rock sticking out along the path. She also saw that the others were much farther down the mountain than she was.

She sprinted down after them, trying her hardest not to fall again. some of the scratches were pretty nasty.

Jemar chided himself for his clumsiness. Wincing as he stood up he held back tears. The pointed pain from thorns spiking from various parts of his anatomy was almost unendurable. They were beginning to throb with poison. The most appalling part was he was going to need someone to remove the thorns from his backside. He blushed as Duranna approached,

"Um...Uh..*cough*..just ask you dimwit...Duranna could you help me with these thorns?

He could feel the heat crawling up his neck. This was so humiliating. He prayed she wouldn't laugh.

Veldron finally caught up with the fallen brotherhoodian. He looked behind but it look like they were in the clear for now.

He turned back to the brotherhoodian and caught the question. Veldron couldn't keep the grin from his face but decided not to say anything...for now. He heard some wheezing noises behind him. Oh yeah...them.

Still grinning he turned back to the two brats who decidedly looked a little green. Pushing aside his more natural instinct to let them suffer more, he began chanting and soon there was that lovely over cooked lettuce smelling green bubble hovering over the group.

Now the brats were healed...but he conveniently forgot the counter curse to the tentacle charm. Maybe after some nice torturing he'll remember.

Jemar tried to hold his breath until the healing gas disipated but couldn't. Ewww that was a disgusting smell. As Duranna plucked the thorns he devised a special doom for the twins with each new thorn. He was up to 27.

"Ouch"... Dipped in honey and strung up outside a bears den by their toes.

28 "Ouch"...Tied to a log and sent over the waterfalls in Clearwater.

29 "Ouch"...Knocked over the head and left in a snake pit.

30 "Ouch"...Fried in...

Veldron coughed to cover his laughter as he watched the thorn extraction. He pulled a little to hard with the tentacle and made the brats fall down again. He turned back to the two fallen ones.

"Alright, which one of you would like to die first hmm? I have half a mind to weevil you since Ishtar never said we needed return with you two alive. Though this is of course assuming my colleagues agree with me that you two are useless bags of flesh and better off dead."

Veldron looked over to the others. "So, what do you guys think? Shall I 'shrink' some baggage?"

Jemar grimaced, "I'd really like to kill at least one of them but I think Ishtar might want them back someday. Do you have a spell to make them dead for a while? You know Zombie them or something. It would be kind of fun watching them loose pieces of themselves here and there."

Jemar jerked, "Ouch! Not so hard Duranna. That's my soft spot."

He turned to look at the twins. Great gobs of sweat were streaming down their faces. He could hear their knees rattling from twenty paces. Good he thought it's working...

Veldron groaned. "Zombies? Do you know how stupid those things are? They're always fall over cliffs, smack into walls, and are a general mess... Weeviling is much more efficient. And, they would only take up a bottle's worth of room than. Ishtar can have them in a bottle. What more, they lost weight so they look better. And they would be highly obedient also."

He glanced at the two like they were insects to be dissected than turn back to Jemar. "I'd only need about 10 mins tops for each of them."
