Remembering Aveyond

Recommended Posts

Hello! I've had this account since 2009. Glad that i still know my username and password after how many years!

Just dropping by to say hello to the first game i've been in love with! There was even one rainy morning I didn't go to school just to play this game! ha ha ha!

I started playing Ahriman's Prophecy when I was 14 years old. And now that I'm 24, I'd like to play it again!

This thing is for sure: "I will always love Aveyond games!"

Hello! It's nice that you came back to this new page! I hope you find interesting stuff to explore and post (although these forums aren't so active as in the past - I guess many old members don't have time for them any more).
I've been a long time fan too, first played Ahriman's Prophecy in 2005 and then the other games in the series; I've played various others since then but the Aveyond games are always special to me!

I think my first Aveyond game was Rhen's Quest, or it might have been Ean's? In any case it was before Lord of Twilight came out and I've been loving these games ever since. I am now going on a rotation playing them lol. I start with Ahriman's Prophecy (in which I do choose priestess for Talia so it'll be canon, even though I prefer enchanter), and then continue with all of them. They are such beautiful RPGs and I love the story. Every gameplay (and there've been soooo many of them), feels like the first, and I enjoy the story start to finish.

It's heartwarming to see this forum and the posts in it. Rhen's Quest was my first game (I honestly never got to finish Ahriman's Prophecy, I always thought it was a bit complicated for me with all they keyboard usage during battles etc., but my sister finished it). I haven't really played PC RPG after Aveyond. I tried, but I'd always find them boring because I'd always look for something like Aveyond but nothing could compare. I feel like if I speak to someone about it they'd find it silly, but I honestly have so much love for it. Even though I was only 10 when I started playing, it basically shaped me tbh. I always remember it and carry it around in my heart hahaha sounds dramatic honestly but whatever. Thank you Amanda for Aveyond :D ❤️

I started playing when I first saw a game called Lord of Twilight on another site and tried it as a demo. I liked it, so I bought the full game, then bought Gates of Night and The Lost Orb. Then I found this site and bought Rhen's Quest, Ean's Quest, The Darkthrop Prophecy and Aveyond 4 when they each came out. I've loved the series ever since.

I started with Rhen's Quest in 2008 and it was exactly what I needed at that time since my husband and I were divorcing, a great distraction the story was so great I was hooked. I still will play it for old time's sake. It will always be my favorite game in the series. I love all the others too though but for different reasons. It's the story that I love I'm actually currently replaying AV3 I'm on Gates of Night, it's a great game, so much to do after LOT is fun but oh so short and simple. This is my first time replaying after 5 years so it's nice to come back and have it almost new again to me. I will always love these games, they mean so much to me.  I also would like to start some new game series on here there are so many after all .

Wow, I'm 16, I played Rhen's Quest when I was 12, then I replayed it again, and again, and one thing led to another and I replayed it a hella lotta time. I'm not the ol' time fan that greeted the AV1 when it was released, but I'm a huge fan none the less! My favorite installment is Ahriman's Prophecy, since it explained a lot and made the lore of AV1 even better. I like to think I'll be a fan for quite a few years now! I really like AV3 as well. And I think the community is absolutely amazing! Thank you all! :rhen_love:

edit: Had to be a good bro so I helped my sis while playing it for the first time! :kawaii-happy:

My first time playing Aveyond was when I was 10 years old, I think? My grandmother (she's 54 years old) introduced it to me, and I loved rpg games ever since!

Aveyond 1 is my all time favorite. I play the series every year, but I can't seem to finish Aveyond 3. It's all right, but I don't like it as much as the other games.

I keep telling my classmates to play the game, and I have recruited at least 10 people! They absolutely love the series too!

You should definitely try finishing Aveyond 3! I loved the ending to the series, but I was quite bummed that Uma and Nox did not appear again in Aveyond 4. :rhen_sad: I could definitely relate to telling your classmates to play it! However, I never succeeded at recruiting anyone. They never liked it which I find so horribly weird. What is not to like about Aveyond?! :kawaii-super-lol:

I was 9 years old when I first found Aveyond (20 now) on a game website somewhere between 2006-2007, and nothing's ever been the same since. It was Aveyond 1, I was (and still am) so fascinated by how everything about it and how the storyline was so different compared to any other game I've played before. I remember being terrified every time I was in Thornkeep because of the earthquake the Snow Queen and her husband used to cause :kawaii-lol: and so many more great memories. I never got to finish Ahriman's Prophecy which is still on my bucket list, but I just can't get around using the keyboard battle on there. AV2, AV3 and AV4 are also amazing. However, AV1 will always have a special place in my heart. :rhen_love::heart::sword:

Ahriman's Prophecy is a great game, I love seeing the back story. I replay it every now and then. I agree about AV3 it's a great series and has a great story.

My son played Aveyond 3 when he was age 7-9 years old, but he has since moved onto console games Halo, Dark Souls, GTA now that he's 17. He really enjoyed it and got pretty good at it like me. Of course I had to help him soon initially. He tried Av 1, but he had trouble playing it knowing where to go next what to do, all the side quests. I have played that game so many times I know all the side quests by heart I have the walkthrough memorized. I still love it so much, always will. I absolutely love the story love Rhen she's my girl favorite Aveyond character. I love Mel too, but Rhen will always be my favorite. I did just fine with Ahriman's Prophecy of course the battles are a little different to get used to, but I was able to handle that too. But boy does your spacebar take a beating lol especially the end battle lol. It's fun though to get to meet Alicia, Devin, Talia and even Cinderella side quest so cool.

Awwwww. That's sooooo swweeeeettt! ❤️

Hehehe I know right! Thanks :3 She's also on here, her username's dark-witch. I think you can find her in my followers. I think she forgot her password or something though so she hasn't been on here since 2014, but I'm always updating her :kawaii-super-lol: . One thing I also love about Aveyond is how our fan base is small, not overrated, but it brings us together :rhen_love:

Yep, I really want to finish Aveyond 3 because I love Nox and Uma! Even if I don't really know them much :kawaii-lol:

I managed to recruit them because I was able to play the game on phones! There's this app I used, I can't remember the name, but my classmates were so hyped about it :rhen_angry:
