Insurrection - An RP

(@Everace - *sniff* missin' ya....)

Allaphym caught Kyrus eye and smiled. In a low voice she said, "Would it be too much trouble for you to seek out Bellyndra, the magic teacher, once you reach Hayote? She is taking care of my house and possessions, the house could use a resident, since I'm sure to be gone for a long while." She glanced at Alissa.

"It's a rather feminine dwelling, and I instructed my friend to decide what to do with it...but when you find her, there will be a message from me to you, Lord Kyrus, about the magic items I left behind, some of them may be of use to you."

((aww. no response to me? pft. fine then. I feel loved. *rolls eyes*))

Willaem raised an eyebrow at the woman. The boy was clearly young... probably too young... and yet she spoke almost as though trying to win over a suitor, "What is it you do?"

The enchantress' eyes twinkled at the cook's obviously nosy question...

"I'm a simple foretune teller and part-time match maker, I can perform wedding ceremonies as well in many religious venues, and can marry you to the woman of your choice, if you wish."

((have i mentioned how much i missed you once charon met its early demise? XD ))

Willaem grunted, "No woman here. They always turn out wrong for me... and rarely by my choice. However... if you're offering your services, Jacob is still young."

Jacob immediately starting coughing out the porridge he'd just started to consume, bright red in the face, "I... I... sorry but I'm-"

"Don't try to say you're taken, boy. I know you have no one. There hasn't been a single letter from someone outside your family and no one has come to visit you. Besides, you're known as the Glacial Prince among the female recruits." Jacob could do no more than stammer in reply.

((*Pounds on the screen*... "Alric here, my writer is still bored. I want to know...Can you all get Allisa drunk and have a shotgun wedding before her writer returns? My writer would never think of it one her own, but One Feather has a way with her suggestions that make a man ponder the possibilities." *Nose presses to the screen as his eyes shift left then right* "Anybody there?" ))

((@Everace, this one is for those spurs we talked about These are the kind to get!! You simply must "watch the bunny" to the music:laughing: )) :FunnyBunny:

((ah. therein lies the confusion- there has already been conversation. XD thus- the total non-recollection of looking for my peeps. XD

Willaem perked up and looked around, "Alric, why don't we have a man hunt... er... woman hunt? We can even look for Celia's goats while we're at it."

(I think I'll make a sprite outa this, Everace is running program tests for school, and his computer is tied up until later, he says he'll be on eventually)

Allaphym smiled and winked. "I can always just perform an official betrothal, and the full ceremony can wait until later. How about you two, I think you would make a beautiful couple!" She gestured at Alric and Alissa, who were sitting quite close together across the campfire.

Alric glanced up sheepishly, his attention drawn from Allisa for the moment. The heat crept up under his collar and he fumbled for the right words. He certainly didn't want to distance Allisa any further than he had the other morning. Things had been going so well until then. His heart still clenched in his chest every time he looked at her. His mind kept drifting places, like her lips, the delicate curve of her neck, that enticed his concentration into a shattered mess. He had said he agreed with taking things slow, but what he really wanted was to sweep her off her feet and head someplace private.

"Allaphym, I would take her hand, betrothed, in a heartbeat but I fear my lady has declared her desire to take things slowly." He looked hopefully for some changed reaction but whatever came was her decision.

"Ahhhh, a confession!" Allaphym's lips spread like a rosy blossom opening in the sunlight, revealing a faint glint of pearly teeth, glowing in contrast to her dark eyes and hair. Turning her smiling face slightly toward the maiden in question she said "Surely the fair lady will have mercy on this brave gentleman who so courageously makes his desire for her public. I believe I detect a similar inclination, do I not? Come now, follow your heart, young lady, I assure that you'll not be led astray. Do you wish to promise your suitor your hand in marriage?"

((Yay! I found some time to post! *reads previous posts* ...huh?! Onefeather! Oracle! What have you silly women been up to here?!))

Allisa

Through herculean effort Allisa had managed to keep her blush very subtle when Allaphym mentioned marraige, but utterly failed when Alric himself professed his desire to marry. Her jaw dropped and Allaphym's next few words failed to register as she struggled to absorb what Alric had said. Not quite pulling herself together, she shot up and away from him with a startled, "WHAT?!" Deep breath, calmly. "Alric, by my recollection we had agreed to take it not at all! How can you turn around and say something like that so suddenly?! I thought..."

She'd thought that he wasn't interested at all, and now her heart was turning flip-flops. In a way she was quite pleased, but the sheer magnitude of emotional swing was too much for her to cope with. "Um, excuse me." True, she had no clue where she would go, but right now she needed to extricate herself from this situation and take the time to deal with her thoughts. She turned on her heel and walked away from the little camp within the cavern.

Celia

I watched her go, not surprised a proposal from that big-nosed old priest had turned her stomache enough to make her want to go throw-up outside... or so I assumed. Oh well, there were more important things at hand right now. "Is that so?" I grinned at Willaem, then turned my eyes on Jacob. "Well now, y'wanna see if I can't just melt the glacial prince?" I leaned back a bit, showing off my chest to add fuel to the fire burning in Jacob's cheeks. If there was one thing I liked, it was teasing young guys.

"He's not bad looking, and I've been wanting a little, *ahem,* attention lately. It's been... so lonely." I put a sultry accent on the last few words.

The enchantress' eyes widened at the young ladies' flustered and hasty retreat. She turned to Alric, reading the situation immediately from the anguished look on his face eyeing her slim shoulders heading away from him. "You've never even kissed her have you?" she almost whispered to the priest. "Well, I wouldn't have guessed that from the looks of the both of you...now's your chance, really, you must show her your intentions, not just profess them openly. Go on man, she's not rejecting you at all, quite the opposite in fact, I believe she very much desires to speak with you privately."

She winked, and added in a sultry tone not much different from Celia's, "I could give you an advantage with magic, sir, but I honestly think you don't need it, some attention from you will be more than I can accomplish anyway."

((him calling for a woman hunt was in parenthesis. it wasn't actual event. ;)))

Willaem chuckled at the women's antics. The only one who worried him was Allisa... but he was sure Alric could handle him. Lost in his amusement, Willaem didn't notice as his protege stood furiously, "NO! I don't want you! I don't want any of the crazy women in this cave or that city! You'd all like to drive me madder than Zarron is! And less capable to do anything with it to!" He stormed out of the cave, face flaring and eyes burning. He was so hot from anger that he didn't even notice the cold until he was turning blue.

Willaem watched him go and chuckled to himself, "Just like me."

((Eek! Edited, essentially still the same thing.))

Celia

Hrm, well that was a surprise. The young fella seems pretty steamed... though that's more Willaem's problem than mine, since there's no reason for me to help put out the fire I started. "His loss, really. Not me, I mean, since I wouldn't have touched him anyway, but women in general. At this rate he'll turn out pretty weird in his own right."

Willaem chuckled, "He's nineteen and pretty sheltered, Celia. Besides, the women he's met in the past couple of years have generally been enough to scare any man away from his urges..." he gave Celia a long look then turned to Allaphym and raised a brow, "or at least anything long term. And Jacob's a long term or nothing kind of guy."

Alric was already heading for Allisa when Allaphym began her speech. He merely nodded to her. Hoping Allisa was alright, he headed into the dim recess of the cavern. He found her just around the first corner. He couldn't tell if she were angry, hurt or just plain mad.

"Allisa, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spoken out but I've been hiding the words inside since we met. You tie me in knots woman. I can't even look at you without my tongue felling like its glued to the roof of my mouth. It feels like the pounding of my heart is going to have me keeling over dead. The last thing on my mind was taking things slow. I just agreed so you wouldn't run away and then you turned and ran away. I've run it over in my head fifty times and still can't figure what it was I did to set you scampering. No woman has ever turned my head the way you do. Nor set my world on edge to shake it loose. Sometimes a man just knows that the woman in front of him is the stuff of his dreams. If I made a list of all the qualities to compromise my perfect ideal of a woman and handed it to the gods, they'd send you."

Frustrated with her lack of response he ran his fingers through his hair, desperately wanting to see her. The light had finally penetrated the stark darkness of the alcove. He could see the dim outline of her face but could read no expression there. Not knowing what her reaction would be, he took a step toward her. With his hand he reached to trace her cheek while his other slipped gently behind her, drawing her closer. Would she surrender or bolt?

"Stay or tell me you no longer feel the attraction. Either way I have to know."

Allisa

She placed a hand gently on Alric's broad chest... then straightened her arm firmly, pushing him back far enough that his arms no longer encircled her. She shook her head. "Did you not understand me before? I said that you were a friend to me, and I really don't think I gave you any indication that I wished to take anything more serious at any pace regardless!" Allisa vented a frustrated sigh. "I'm... confused. Unsure of you, perhaps, but even more unsure of myself." She looked away from him. "I won't say there's no attraction, that wouldn't be the truth. But..."

"Allisa? Are you ok?" Brock's voice. He and Gerald had followed as well, out of concern.

"...but for now, be the friend I wish you to be. Nothing more." She finished, returning her eyes to his.

"My apologies for intruding on your sensibilities, Allisa. We will need to be moving soon. As for my friendship, you always have it, my lady."

As he turned on his heel and left her in the alcove he ran into Brock,"She fine, just a little shook up. My mouth is as big as my ego I guess."

He returned to the fire for his pack, a little red faced. "We should get a move on soon. We're burning daylight."

Turning his attention to the enchantress "Allaphym, your matters of perception leave a lot to be desired." He winked to remove the sting from his words. He was no worse off now than before. "And before you ask, I am not in the market for any potions. It wouldn't be the same. Besides if they work as well as your advise," he chuckled,"I'd find myself falling off a cliff."

"Celia, need any help with the horses?" At least he knew where he stood with Celia. She couldn't stand him.

(I've been playin' way too much with Turtix, Ozzy Bubbles and Shark Attack, and just have to say to Everace, "Congratulations, You've found a Secret Area!")

Also, this group is about to head to Hayote, and mine to the capitol, unless someone is turning around, I'll have no one to RP with....

Jacob came back in, shivering tremendously from the cold and even his cheeks were starting to turn blue. Willaem shook his head but said nothing until the boy was wrapped tight near the fire and eating some more porridge, "Sometimes you can run from a fight without actually doing it, boy... ah well, I don't guess you'll make this mistake again..." he looked off and chuckled, "you're smarter than I was."

((Alric would be the logical choice to go with Allaphym, Willaem would have no reason to escort an enchantress to the capital, but Alric could come in handy. Continuing with Celia heckling him across the great divide is not an ideal scenario. Nor is moping over a woman something he would enjoy. On to adventure if you're amiable.))

((Willaem needs to see his boys and Jacob his family... and I'm sure we'll all be together again soon... so, I think Alric going would be splendid. Leaves me some time to RP with Ev almost on my own again. XD Boy do I miss those interrogations:P. hehehe actually... I just miss Charon... hmm))
