Land of the Star Horizon - RP

Recommended Posts

Alina turned to Aidan.

"He's not much of a talker, right?

Where do you think we should start from?

Or maybe we should search separately to cover more land? But that may be dangerous..."

Alora was left sitting on her bed, quite confused. However, she decided to at least try to sleep, reasoning to herself that she needed the energy for the exam the next day. Almost as soon as she lay her head back on the pillow, she fell asleep, and began dreaming of all the possible outcomes of the coming day...

Galena looks at Zambira with surprise. "Power of the Soul, really? I wonder what brought her to this area?" Galena asks, not really expecting an answer.

She pausing briefly to consider the implications of the samurai's presence here. "What should we do if they come for her?"

"Brother, I...I don't want to have the other cities fall like our home did. Before we restore our home, I...I want to help the other cities!" Kinami said with a serious tone.

The Aidan answers Alina:

"You're absolutely right, that man is not much of a talker. Hmmm... I think we must first search the territory of Sader and the Power of the Soul. We must do this together. We will meet back here. If we both fail to find this Hanako, we must go out together to the surrounding nations with a cover. Oh, yes! Don't be afraid, even though we are yet novices, we can still take out our enemies!" Aidan leaves Alina with a wink and went back home and prepares for their journey.

''Yes, master.'' Elivyana replied with a nod of her head. The look on her face was serious and a little bit carefoul.-''Students will be able to step to the exame from early morning. May I sugesst that we let them take the exam a little later from sunrise. I got the feeling that some of them will need to sleep a little longer to gain strenght and bravery for their task.'' Elivyana smiled looking at the door of the young student that was cought still awake. ''What do you think, master?'' She looked at Nene which was going in front of her. But she still didn't knew why he invited her with him for his little night walk trough the fortress. This wasn't the first time that she would like to know what Nene was thinking.

Hanako blinks and groans. The pain of her injuries was not great, but the stiffness in her body was most unusual. As a fighter, she was used to doing her daily practice forms - first the battojutsu single strikes with the katana, then the more complicated combinations, gradually ending with the lightning fast defensive wakisazhi cuts.

Gradually her awareness become clearer. She has been moved? and bandaged? Trying to put together her memories, her mind flashed to scenes of being ambushed in the forest. Her cheeks burned, how could she have been so careless! Luckily the gang would have gotten little from her. As a mere ronin warrior, she had no great wealth and the plain weapons she bore could fetch no great price.

Realizing that perhaps she should try and gain some clue as to her savior, she rose from the healing bed wincing a little, but relieved to feel only a slightly pounding head.

"Umm, hello?" she called out.

Hanako focuses on the healer who has addressed her.

"Ah, I am much improved lady with only a slight headache and I thank you for your care. I'm not used to being in need of assistance. You have the claim of a boon of me should you wish it, since I have no way to repay your care. I am Hanako Misawa, ronin samurai, at your service."

Hanako carefully bows low, attempting to avoid aggrevating her still healing injuries.

Alina watched Aidan leaving. He was too happy! A samurai had gone missing but that didn't seem to affect him at all! And what was that about being a novice? "I am a samurai, for heaven's sake, not a student!", she thought to herself. She had to acknowledge though that he was right about one thing: they shouldn't travel alone. She went home to pack her stuff and get some breakfast.

**Outpost - Tavern

“Hush sister.” Dirk whispered. He rented a room and put her in bed leaving a sleeping spell on her. He sat down beside the bed ready for pre-meditation. He tried to see what she dreamt of. He was a shaman after all and seeing his little sister had shocked him. The lights in the room were off and the moonlight shined on tem through the huge window. Making sure her shoes were off he started meditating.

**The Hole – Great Hallway Underground

Sebethzar followed Ginka-Ku out the door into the hallway. “Let us prepare, the nations won’t know what hit them. Let us discuss our plans in the council room.”

**Nagashi Fortress

((@ladyS – Nene is female))

Nene smiled and replied, “I agree, besides, we need the strongest person to lead everyone in case of an attack. You and I during an attack are not yet ready for battle. We will soon be though; it is okay if you don’t know what I mean.” Nene then walked down the hallway and up the stairs to the third floor.

**Viper - Castle Room

“Then we shall prepare, train all our villagers into militia and I’ll start on the defenses, we have an advantage anyway with these mountains.” Menary then left the room to start her task.

**Chikaki’s Den - Hut

“You are awake I see.” Zambira had walked in. “No doubt you are from Power of the Soul. Our allie’s spies have told us activity happening in the Power of the Soul’s capital, Sader. Yes, our ally is the nation of Spazehari. You must promise Samurai that the Power of the Soul will never find out you were here. By the way Galena, I see you have improved your abilities.” Zambira bowed and left the hut.

**Fenzer Village - Headquarters

“Rose, I am glad you are here. I need you to find Aya, she is probably sleeping in her room.”

**Vahari

Noon came and a rainbow shined upon the city of Vahari. The young and old oracles looked at it with honor. This rainbow was kind of a power to the city, especially since it did amplify their abilities.

Hanako frowned. She had recognized the Lady Zambira from the studies she had made in political studies classes (well that had never been her strong point, but still she could recognize the leader). A boon had been required and now her honor bound her not to reveal her adventure here. Lies were also not Hanako's strong point.

Hanako addressed the young healer who was apparently named Galena.

"I thank you Healer Galena for your care. I will, on my honor, speak of this intrusion to no one. If, however, this is to remain undiscovered, I fear I must leave immediately. I'm sure that my absence has already been noticed and I would not wish to bring trouble to you."

Hanako bowed and prepared to leave.

Rose nodded excitedly. "Find Aya. Okay," she said. Then she ran out of the room, but skidded to a stop before she'd gone far. She peeked back in the room. "Bye!" she yelled to Honshu Donsu. Then she ran back out of the room and off to find Aya.

She hurried to Aya's room. When she got there, she knocked on the novice elementist's door. "Aya! Are you in there?!" She waited for an answer.

(( @lcry333 - ups... sorry))

Elivyana stood right that moment, watching Nene takeing her way trough the hallway to the stairs which led to the upper floors.

How did Nene knew what was she thinking about? She guessed that she shouldn't be so surprised.

Elivyana shruged her shoulders and took a deep breath so she can think more clearly. The sound of burning light she was holding was peaceful in the silence, and the sound of Nene's steps that was going up to her chaimbers. At least she thought that she was going to her chaimbers.

After a moment or two, Elivyana decided to go to the top of the northern tower. Her steps and the burning torch, that was lighting her way, were onley things that made her company. The silence beside that was hiding in the dark of the night and waiting for the sun to come.

Her golden-brown hair released herself from the ribbon, that she tied to taime her hair, and fell in the silky cascades covering her back. She released a sigh.

Her path to the tower came to the end, as she stepped outside in to the night. Stars were shining upon her head and the moon spread his light to cover the land. It was peaceful and full of beauty that can make you speachless.

With the moonlight, she didn't need the light of the torc, so she turned it out.

Then she started singing, wit her strong voice, to calm the ones that were still awake, and to give evereyone a good night and serene dreams.

Hanako gets ready to leave the healer's haven. As she pulls her hair into her traditional topknot, she places her Kansashi (long hair pins) into the base. Feeling more secure now that her more subtle weapons are in place, Hanako bids her hosts a final farewell and heads out into the forest.

"Some secret magic must hide this place I think," she muttered to herself as the forest paths seemed to twist and turn in unnatural ways. She walked to the forest edge before the odd effect seemed to die away.

Faced with the large distance and rivers still to cross in order to get back to Power of the Soul, let alone Sader, Hanako sighs.

"It will be good to get back on a horse," she reflects and pulls out her horse whistle. The horses of Power of the Soul are renown and her battlemount Kaisha would have stayed nearby waiting for her mistress to return to her. The shrill whistle echoed not only through the muggy air, but also on the astral plane allowing Kaisha to orient on the direction of Hanako even over long distances. Hanako waited paitently until the even hoofbeats could be felt pounding from just over the ridge.

Hanako sighed with delight. Soon, she would be able to put real distance behind her.

Alina hadn't much to pack. She hid her daggers inside her clothes and wore her sword. Some herbs and extra black uniform and that was all. "I hope I'm not late", she muttered to herself.

She hurried up to Aidan.

"I'm not too late, am I? Where do you think we should start from? I think that we should search south, the woods and the lake, and east the woods by the borders of Nissou."

"Honshu Donsu is waiting for you. He's in his room,"

Rose told Aya. Then, to be polite (and because she wanted to see what Honshu Donsu wanted), she asked "Would you like an escort?"
