Boyle Wolfbane wanted to rule the world. He failed miserably and was forced into retirement early. Boyle now spends his days arguing with haunted trees, hiding from a witch who wants to marry him, and scaring off the occasional knight. At least he still has Fang, his loyal storm wolf. Things could be worse. He could have been born a hero. Unfortunately for Boyle, his worst fear is about to come true.
When something happens that threatens the fate of the world as well as Boyle’s cherished canine, Boyle has to find a way to become the hero that he never wanted to be. Boyle sets out to save Fang, and begrudgingly to do-gooders who will also be affected. Along his journey, Boyle mostly attracts other miscreants who wish to help him on his quest. It’s challenging because some of them are wanted by various authorities.
